So do you think I put it some place that will hurt it, and as for the clutch pads, if that is it, should i just use sandpaper and rough them up, add new roller weights, and then be set? You guys have been such an awesome help, and I really appreciate it.

Thanks so much, I will try that. That will be so great if that is what it is. Is it a fairly easy fix, and what did you think of where i put the gear oil?

Ok, here are the pics. White cap is where i filled it, screw is where i first tried to fill it, and where the Linhai is on the plastic seems to be where the sound is coming from. Im doing the video now. How do I get my pictures from my pc on to here?

Well, I put 80 oil in today. I do not have a manual (and searched all over the internet today for one with no luck) and put it in a fill area next to the wheel hub. At first I put a litle in an area in the pastic on the side with a phillips screw that said oil, but the hole was too small, and it seemed to leak out of the plastic underneath. Then I put it in next to the wheel hub where there is this cap you can unscrew by hand and filled it to the top. It is becoming a big hassle without a manual and not knowing what is where. I dont have the tools to take apart right away, but will be able to take a video near the wheel and point out where the sound is coming from. Thanks so much for all your help guys.

Would that cause a loud clunking? To describe it a little more, it is not a consistant clunking, it does it when it wants. What i mean by this is that it doesnt do it every so many seconds, it does it when it wants. It also does not matter if it is warmed up or running cold, but doesnt do it as much in idle when running warm (it always does it during takeoff) . I could take a quick video of it while it is in idle if that helps, but I need to know how to add it? Thanks much

I have a 2001 Linhai 260cc scooter I purchased a year ago before I got a transplant. Have not been able to get it on the road yet, buy drive it up and down my street to keep everything active. Well, when I start it, and or take off slowly, there is a clunking sound coming from rear under air filter beside tire. It also does it when taking off with a slight jerking, but only up to about 5mph. I want to sell it because of this, but if it is a minor fix, I would like to keep it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much. Attachments:
