Run a crapload of Seafoam thru it, that should clean out the guts of the carb.

Money Pit??
Well, the new hose cost $1.49, so, I ain't gonna complain yet. And, I kinda like tinkering. And the gallon of Prestone I can always use in one of the cars. So, as long as it stays simple, I still ain't gonna call no one out.

encounter with Chinese technology and design. Meaning, the radiator hose going from the radiator to the water pump was routed and zip tied where it rubbed against a sharp part of the frame. I knew I had a leak, thought it was the clamps, still leaking. I finally saw where it was rubbing, but had to take the hose off in order to see the hole. Went to Autozone, bought a new hose, rerouted and made sure it wasn't touching any portion of the frame. Now just gotta flush out the old stuff and put in the new Prestone, silicate free stuff. Next is taking off the front wheel and regrease the axle. The front brakes are making a lot of noise, so gonna refine them also. And, I saw a couple bolts when I was under the scoot also. Wanna get the wrenches and go at thse also. I'm so glad I have a bike lift from when I worked on my Goldwing and Sabre. I just lift up the back end a couple feet, crawl under, and stare in amazement of how this thing is put together. I sure am glad I like to tinker. Pic is where the frame piece edge rubbed against the hose Actualy that metal tab serves no purpose and could be cut off. Which I may do when I get a new proper hose, which, I'm sure will be near to impossible, unless Jim goes back to the mfgr and orders a new one. Which, I may or may not ask/order. Ya like the way the water droplets run sideways? Yea, I should have rotated the pic deg. My bad. So Sue me!! Attachments:

Thanx
I found that Prestone has a silicate free coolant that is good for aluminum engines and radiators. The ones with silicates have a tendenty to destroy the aluminuminimuinmuimnnuimnn. Didn't know that Now I do And so do you

Very nice But what I really want to know more about is the dependability and reliability of this ruckus clone as, I'm thinking of getting a ruckus trike.
I've got a helix clone with a 150 gy6, and it's been quite reliable.
Again, nice job

On my Honda, I gotta use a non silicate coolant, like the Honda brand coolant. Some coolant can actually destroy the seals
I have a 300cc water cooled trike. I found a loose hose and small leak. Fixed it, but gotta refill, or drain it all and replace.
So, what coolant works with these scoots?
Thanx Dave

When I first got mine, I changed the oil and it was like vegatable oil,and only about 1 qt, when it takes about 1.8 qts. Same with the gear oil. Will change at 500 miles which is the break in, and then every 1000 miles thereafter.
The GF's 150 Helix clone, I change at 1000 miles. Got over 5000 trouble free miles on it now. Only problems I've had with it, is her son wrecked it, rearended a car, and I had to do some ebay shopping for front plastic. Got it fixed and she's back on the road again, but her son ain't touchin it.

I thought I also read that synthetic oil runs cooler. I use it in my Goldwing, with 105,000 miles, my Honda Shadow Sabre with 50K, my Avalon with 130K, my Jeep that had 260K before it got rearended, my Park Ave with 225K, so, although I have no idea if it's the syn oil, reg oil changes, or good luck, but it hasn't 'created' any oil related issues fo rme.
