Man, that sux Dave, is that a relative? Nope. That's Dave. Well, most of him. IIRC, "The Man" here used to be a USAF Master Sergeant(?), with a long and distinguished career who loves to ride hogs. Having survived (probably) many war zones, he was taken out by a cager while enjoying his hobby in retirement (I assume). Sorry for the shameless story hijack there Dave. But I just think your story really highlights what could happen to any of us. Silver lining: Dave found automatic, scooter based trikes, and now makes this forum a better place to hang out. Ian Ian Damn Did u buy me a beer and I told ya life story?? You pretty much nailed it I did 25 years active duty Air Force, retired as a MSgt, then did 20 years civil service Inrode Goldwings and honda shadow sabre Was riding a rat bobber Magna when I got hit by a Jimmy Now I ride a Zodiac scoot I'm alive Love life and thank God every day Be safe Dave PS: I was wearing a helmet which is what saved my life

Wanna see something really scary? ? This was before they cut it off ABOVE the knee as it was too destroyed to be saved. They tried, 4 surgeries later they gave up. And, Oh yea, this is NOT photoshopped. Ankle high boots, kevlar plated blue jeans, wouldn't a made no difference, as the bumper of the GMC Jimmy did the first amputation. (Dr's did the rest)

I've only got 200 miles on my new 300cc Zodiac I've kept it at 40 MPH and under for the entire 200 miles (well, once up to 45 cause i wasn't looking and it just kept on climbing)
You saying I should run it up to max (60-65) every now and then?

No way on anything CFMOTO. After what I hear about them canceling a lot of their scooter-only dealers and leaving their riders high and dry, anyone ever considering them would have to be nuts. Remember Daelim and United Motors? All the reviews are saying cfmoto is changing for the better And the fit n finish and quality is vastly improved I was under the assumption the original poster was looking for a cheaper/less expensive scooter If not, he should get a tmax majesty silverwing , not a clone scoot Just was adding some alternatives Thanx Dave Also, anyone buying a clone scoot should do so knowing there is no dealer support and you're strictly on your own after the purchase.

That was delivered slightly tongue-in-cheek Dave, the reality is not THAT bad (also I did a rather extensive rebuild) Hope the rest of your miles are truly trouble free! Yea, I fingered it was. At least it was a minor problem and fix I hope all the other issues are the same. Thanx and ride safe Dave

[replyingto=hank]hank[/replyingto]Hank Never heard of it before, but it says it's good for scoots (motorcycles) so I may try it.
If not this time, for the cars next time
Thanx Dave
