Yup I didn't have a Scooter when I lived there but always a full size bike, my rides were head north country roads up to Denton/Decator area or even better west out around Eagle Mountain lake. nice asphalt with some twisties. Do brunch over at the marina on the lake.
Good thing I stayed home from working the Cup race and visiting friends at the Speedway this weekend, 31 degrees there today. screw that even with the accommodations I have..

Just buyer beware a 50 for under $500 bucks your getting just what you paid for. My 150 was $749, and $120 freight I know exactly what I bought end accept the fact.
If you want solid specs and information with no fake parts and a real professional dealer network Id get a Yamaha S-Max and yup your going to have to pay the price for a solid quality Scoot

And this one is one of the best, gotta be allot of people scammed by the Fake Big Valve Cylinder heads. A 61mm head with big valves. oh sure theres big valves in the they just dropped them in Stock size Valve Seats. That great what the heck do big valves do in stock size valve seats? Nothing. Good thing I'm in the bus so I had fitted correct size seats and did a proper valve job.

Allot of it goes back on the manufactures, they provide the misleading, incorrect, contradicting information to the dealers, the dealers to use whats provide to them. Here is the riveted metal placard from my Scoot, read the oil and and fuel information. Now here the Manual, read the fuel and oil information. Huh? Also not the HP in Kw thats converts to 8.18hp almost every 150 GY I have ever seen the advertised hp has been between the 8.18 and 10hp, I see mostly the 8.18hp
Also in the Scooter world the HP figures are sometimes in Brake HP and thats at the Crankshaft, the two Wheel industry doesn't usually advertise Brake HP mostly Rear Wheel Horsepower or RWHP. So If you have 3 Brake HP that may very well be 1.8 RWHP. Most manufactures don't tell you if its Brake or RWHP

Yeah, I really like the "Blackjack" look. The problem is, if I want old school, I just have to fire up my '79 P200E. She is sooooo pretty. I already have the work into her. Oh, and to keep everyone up to date, I drained the rest of the gas out of the tank and pulled the carb again yesterday. I also bought a new fuel filter just because. I figure if I get the (potentially) bad gas out of there it eliminates one variable. A side question to throw out there, in case anyone knows, I have two inlets on the backside of the carb; one up topside and one on the float bowl. I had assumed they were vacuum, but from my reading I may be wrong. It looks as though they might both just be overflow outlets. Anyone have any input on that? Thats as good as it gets right there. Great cheap fun!!

Gotta Love Colleyville TX, that whole Southlake, Keller, Westlake, Roanoke, Trophy club area is like the new California only without the price tag. Looks like we sold out to soon in 09, the place is in the Southwest corner of Milton and Savoy off Tennyson Pkwy and thats on the left going south on 26.. if ya wanna check it out, didn't even bring $500,000. I miss it but the traffic. holly schmolly, 114, Southlake blvd and 377 were all two lane roads when I moved out there. Now there some kinda toll road on 114, kinda confusing..

I wanted to know if 7g weights were a good choice to start with the 15k springs and my weight of 215? You know much more than I but I haven't pulled the stock rollers out yet either and actually they're not too shabby on all three plains of start mids and top speed!! But of course I want the best for the top equation. The weight combo is different from a 50 to the 150 that I have. I have no hands on the 50 CVT so I don't have a base number to have you start with. I was hoping onewheeldrive would chime in as he appears to have some good 50 CVT experience

When I'm done with the bs from the torque wrench and get to my cvt I weigh 215 I'm useing 1500rpm springs I figured I would use 7g rollers does that sound about right to get all around performance. I don't want to loose my top speed! Let me know your thoughts please. This I don't know much about yet.lol I'll get it I just don't want to take that case off 4 or 5 times to get it right. Theres no magic numbers for this as each Scoot and its combination is unique unto itself. You will need to establish a base and test that base in as much all around conditions possible. Now note peak rpm's and check that belt climb, contemplate this data... in the direction that you now think could improve go that way by 1gram and note this peak rpms and belt climb..Did it get more of what You want? now adjust from there and repeat. Getting the most of your build to the ground is all about a properly tuned CVT assy. you will find inexpensive mph in there.. good luck....
