I just swapped the two top rings from my older 50mm piston to my new one. Was that a bad idea? The new rings opened way up and it was hard getting it back in the cylinder jug. The older rings looked to be in good shape so I swapped them. I thought the top ring looked like it was going to break and the second didn't look much better. The older rings certainly fit the piston much better. Well I'll just hope for the best I hope it doesn't burn oil. Not a good idea on the Rings Did you check the End Gap to make sure the ends were Not Butting together? That could be a Dead Giveaway ya have wrong rings like for a 51 or 52mm piston.. I wish I could have worked with ya to solve this before ya installed the old rings. Ring Seal is critical...

If the throttle valve as you call it ,,is the vacuum operated slide and is controlled by the vacuum demand of the engine and moves up and down with vacuum pulses Yeah it is indeed a vacuum operated slide. I only have experience with normal carbs so i didn't know that. It's weird that it doesn't respond to the idle screw. I'll take a picture of the carburetor this evening. Ah Ha thats what I figured from your description. are adjusting the Idle screw or the Mixture Screw?

?!?! what why is a disk supposed to be dangerous on a back wheel? sounds like magic thinking to me if its good on the front is good on the back its could be useful to be able to break the back end free on a scoot i miss power sliding on my bike Yes it was GY6 store in Shelby NC, the person on the phone told me, all you scooter people only use your rear brake and a better or more rear brake will only make that worse, I just didn't even want to mess with this idiot and could school the fool on the proper use of both front and rear brake on or off road.

Sounds like fun Post some pictures for sure. That Front Fork setup on GY based 150 would be real sketchy with that much motor an top speed.

Gy6 store is on my s#%t list they are rude very the wouldn't even check on when my order went out for shipping. We get 100's of orders a day Well no s#%t it a business. Can't take time for something I'm waiting for I guess I won't have time to order from them at all any more. Its parts for scooters from now on. All the packages from the variator say koso on them. Springs, weights but a rip off variator. I'm buying a whole bunch of stuff from parts for scoots and took everything out of the gy6 store and ebay. They are great to deal with so I'll deal with them exclusively. No Hai Marys or Our Fathers I just talk to Him like a Father!! Other than there operation in Puerto Rico they have a operation in Shelby NC. a bit of a drive but not that far from me. I called them so see if I could only purchase one Wheel of a set the sell and was informed no, ok, then I if they had will call, he said Huh? whats that/ I had to explain it to him. I wanted to put the product in my hand as Im doing a rear disc brake conversion and they have most of the parts there. Nope No will call. Ok, so then this fool starts to tell me I'm crazy and how dangerous it is to have a rear disc brake on a scooter. Huh?, he says you scooter people only use the rear brake and you don't want all that brake, and then your hardware will come loose catch in the caliper. Duh!! I didn't even go into the whole Dude if been riding forty five+ years and hold a AMA competition license line of crap. he has product for sale and earns a living off the profits from this sales and is doing everything he can to Not Take Money, that fool would last ten minuets working for me not even a second chance. Placed my oder with Partsforscooters and instant order confirmation then shipping confirmed Thurs, arrived in NC this afternoon on Saturday!! There order process rocks!! Boom!!!

Matt Your welcome and I will continue to plug and comment on my transactions with your fine establishment. I again called on Monday and got a real person and not just a person ones with BRAINS!! She said all the right words to help and assist me in every way. the phone call was prompted by a order shortage from another vendor who never picks up the phone and voice mail always full and now the email address for service come back non deliverable. so it on to Pay-pal to get my money back Yup its Crappy Dog Scooters. already got fake parts from them in the past and its over now, I will only deal with you fine folks.

Donna if the Polini or chose is any different. I would stay away from the coated NCY, I knew better with a Teflon coating wold last any amount of time. The coating immediately starts to come off ant actually impedes the rollers from rolling causing flat spots.

If you have ever done a ride like this before your main very serious concern is bing taken out from behind. A rider or driver is driving or riding at pace and come around a corner and there a Duck in front on a 50 or 100cc scoot. Your a hazard on the Dragon

Is better to get variator and sliders of the same brand or as a kit, the sliders tend to flip a lot of times if they are not of the same brand as the variator, you can try using sliders with your existing variator and might get lucky if they don't flip, but to be on the safe side get both as a kit or of the same brand. Ricky is spot on with this. I wasn't impressed with the sliders over the rollers. I use the Rollers.

Before ya tear into it try the Stethoscope screw driver test, start the scoot and get your longest screw driver and put it up to your ear and try to isolate the noise. Pop the CVT cover off to get a better read off the Crank.. Good luck

Taida is the cream of whats out there but lets not forget this. Taida left out the Wristpin oil lube holes. a simple machining process that didn't get done. The Red dots are were the pin oilers should be. I can fix it I just shoulnt have to. I dont open my UPS or Fedx with a box cutter I open them with Micrometers, Dial Indicators and telescoping gauges.. And guess what? Its "racing" "high performance" No Warranty No Guarantee No Returns of any kind.. Ive sold thousands and thousands of "racing" pistons, they are are sold as is Now Warranty No Guarantee, But when we screwed up we Warranted the product and paid to fix motors.
