All well and good, but what are those markings on the side of the fairing? (they don't appear on any other AN 400)

Trouble being a girly-girl, there's always that purse to situate. And even N-R bags would probably have trouble with 2-for-1 XL Cheetos bags. Plus four ears of Andy's Candy. Plus a slice of pie. Plus two pckgs of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. Plus the bag of half-price double choco chunk cookies. I went for the corn, rolls, and a box of CheezIts. I never seem to escape the smörgåsbord with only what I went in for. Evil stores. On the other hand, Mom seemed QUITE happy with the extras.... >'Kat Ha! Kat, I've gotten an 8 count of paper towels and a Scott 12 roll package along with an full shopping cart all in. ( I Had to break down some of the packaging but I managed to get it all home) Oh yeah, I stuff large frozen pizzas under the seat!

Today I actually drove errands on my scoot. Went to the bank (sadly, to transfer money from savings to checking to pay for the wagon repairs. Bad car!); went to the grocery store (and barely fit the sack in my seat bag--darn 2for1 Cheetos sale!); went to the post office; went to the library (got Tangled and Brave) I haven't done errands on the scoot before. Usually I'm going with too much, or too big, or too far away. Kind of fun. Although I was a bit concerned about my piece of Tippins Cherry Limeade pie suffering in the seat bag.... >'Kat Nelson-Rigg saddlebags turn any scoot into a Clown Car!

The Scarabeo and Sport City 250's surprise many people. The Sport City 250 weighs in at 326 lbs to the Scarabeo's 373 lbs which makes it a bit more flick-able in the twisties. Both have the same engine which develops about 23 hp and works well with Dr. Pulley Sliders. Add a $89 plug-n-play (no cutting, splicing or modification required) Ducati attenuator to fatten up the fuel mix at idle to mid range and the bikes will amaze with everything else in stock condition. Many discount them because they are scooters however they fail to take into account that they were designed by some pretty hard core Super Bike engineers. What is the parent company Piaggio's reaction to all this? Pull all Aprilia Scooters over 50cc from the US market. You may find places to ride nearby that you are not aware of at: motorcycleroads.com/BTW: Don't try to ride like this on tires that are not fresh or are low quality or you can have the bike suddenly slide out from under you. What more could you ask for? An Aprilia 250 "mops the floor" with a big cruiser, while Jazz legend Nina Simone sings about "Rock" on the soundtrack.

Non sequitur. Specious flawed "logic' As you yourself have noted, the number of motorcycles (and accidents involving them) is rising because the population in general has shot up to roughly double what it was in the 1960's. The behavior of the average driver has also changed (and not for the better) hence the incidences of "Road Rage" a phenomenon virtually unheard of in the past. Just because motorcycle magazines have "pushed" safety gear it does not follow that most or even a good portion of riders buy, or use it. Why else would the modern day euphemism of "squid" come into the common lexicon for someone who foolishly rides without proper protection? But this is pointless, you believe your abilities are more that a match for an infinite number of variables that may arise (something no human mind has the omniscience to anticipate) Let us hope your opinion (for that is what in reality it is) is never put to it's ultimate test.

After I pdi'ed my scoot it still wouldn't start, turns out one of the connections on the coil prong slipped off, after that it fired first try. You'll find it soon-or-later.

Well Tarkus, what I have found is that wearing all that safety gear continually REMINDS me that I'm in a high-risk situation and INCREASES my awareness of potential danger, rather than the other way around.
