You can also get a vinyl wrap like many wild looking cars have . It is easier to print graphics on vinyl compared to expensive air brushing . I have seen many company vehicles wrapped to attract attention to the company logos .
I have thought about putting on some Rhino or other brand of vinyl coating like used inside of a truck bed . It used to only come in black but they added a few colors a few years ago . I have seen quite a few Jeeps have it applied over the paint and underneath to protect it from getting scratched .
Harbor Freight has an airbrush kit for little money . I would surely practice using it before I would spray my scooter . Plastikote and Krylon both make a paint that is primarily suited for plastics instead of a universal type of paint .

If the stator is bad it will not put out enough juice to charge the battery . Here is an example of spiked tires www.savatech.eu/tyres/scooter/winter.html Since it is cold up there I would get a trickle battery charger . Cold temps drain batteries and the only have a few amps , so any loss is noticeable . Battery Tender is one of the best brands . I use a 5 dollar one from Harbor Freight . It works but I do not like how it lacks having a meter .

My sparkplug boot has came off several times . Well it got to where it does it every mile instead once every 4 months or so . It has always been where I had to unscrew the sparkplug cap but somehow the clip broke and I had to replace the cap on the plug and jam in on . It still would come off and fizzle at times . The other night it died while it was running so good . I pushed it home . I had thought I had some water in the carb since I was riding in the rain with a Uni . No problem I drained out the carb like I have before and it only fizzled a few times . I changed out the plug and it ran for a minute then died . I removed the plug and put in in the boot and grounded it . At first no spark and after wiggling it I saw a weak spark and there is mild charring around the coil . I wanted to replace the wire before this happened but it seems like it was made into the coil unlike cars that the wire can be detached . I always hated the boot design as it never did fit that good . I looked on Scrappys page and saw an OEM coil is 14 while their red hot coil is only ten more . I figure since I have a BBK it could use a lil more spark . I have changed out coils on cars and I know the HP coils did fire better than the old stock one . I made a thread long ago about Scrappys 2T red coil to see if anyone had used it but I did not get a reply from anyone who has used it . So I guess I may be the test pilot LOL unless some one can suggest a better one that is not over priced . Here it is after you scroll down www.scrappydogscooters.com/50cc_2stroke_Performance.html

Check the battery first . A bad cell can make a click sound when u try to start it . I would charge up the battery or take it to any auto part store as they test em for free and most charge for free . Check all the wires for a loose connection . Is this a new issue ?

Geo49 have you made any mods at all to your scoot ? When I bought my 2T first thing I replaced the 68MJ with a 75MJ and replaced the standard NGK with the iridium one . It would always hit 45 MPH ( on the speedo ) and sometimes 50 . It would max out at 8k RPMS while riding . On the CS I revved it up just for a fraction of second to see if it would go beyond 8K . If I went down hill and if it went above 8K RPMs it would stall and fizzle . I decided to get a racing CDI that did not have a rev limit . No diff at all on top end with the same 8K limitation . My dealer said maybe I should try lighter rollers . I removed and weighed them to be a starting point . They were 6G . I tried some 4Gs but it over revved on takeoff and lost top end . I mixed them up to equal 5G and it was a hair better on take off with as much top end loss as with 4G . Hitting 45 is quite good as many modded 4ts can not go that fast . Here is two links on derestricting and tuning www.scootnfast.com/scooter/Tuning_mods/De-Restricting.htm and www.provoscooter.com/tuningI pulled off the 49cc engine and noticed the exhaust port was D shaped instead of being fully ported out like the BBK is with a O shaped exhaust port . I had read a great 2T exhaust thread by Brent " The 2T God " and noted that he said many stock pipes are limited to 8,500 RPMs , sport pipes around 10,500 and the expensive pipes 14k and up . I had bought a PM Tuning racing pipe that I first tried to fit on the 49cc engine but I could not get it lined up . With the BBK it lined up the first try . The exhaust places a more important factor on a 2T than a 4T . I had a Honda CR 125 that wasa beast and one day a buddy accidentally spun a rock into my pipe and busted it . Man it killed the power big time . I had a buddy weld it up but it blew out the weld as the metal was no good . A new pipe and it was a wheelie machine again . The PMT pipe I lost bottom end since it was unrestricted which did allow for backpressue to build up . Midrange and top end it was a screamer . I replaced the PMT with the stock pipe and it had more bottom and midrange and was much quieter . The stock pipe has a reed valve just before the expansion chamber than released exhaust at 8k RPMs back into the airbox . I had already removed the airbox to use a Uni . I first ran it with the reed valve uncapped . I noticed it got louder at 8K and the powerband dropped a hair . For now it is taped up but I will do a permanent cap off soon . When it was stock is was not a fast off the line like a buddies Honda Elite but I would smoke him at midrange and top end with ease . Once I got going past 45 MPH it was screaming , even uphill with a running start I got hit 10,500 RPMs and not able to push it hard down hill . I will have to get some taller gears so I can cruise at 45 or more without having it scream and guzzle up gas . I did put in 8g sliders since I figured it would lower the RPMs compared to the 5g rollers . I put in 1.5k Hoca clutch springs to help on takeoff . With the PMT pipe is was not as peppy on takeoff but with the stock pipe I can make it jump even with heavy weights and 13 wheels instead of 10s . You can also try a larger diameter variator as I will be doing myself . The larger diameter and steeper ramps can often help on the top end . Mine also gotten faster after 1,000 miles since the piston moved easier than when it was tighter when new . To truly get more power a BBK is a for sure improvement . Since it is newsih I would enjoy the 50cc engine and do the BBK later on

I forgot to say the two I have seen in town that have a 2T pipe with expansion chamber and the muffler is curved forward design , both had the muffler removed . I was surprised it was not unreal loud like my 2T was with the PMT pipe and muffler . They had to have upjetted the carb since I did not hear any bog or sputter . I think they had a stock pipe which has a baffle in the cone . My PMT is hollow and allows more flow .

air filter?

You do know that with a Uni you can not ride in the rain and will need to upjet ? I first had a small Uni vent cover around half as big and the proper red Uni I later bought . The engine was the stock 49cc and pipe . I had replaced the 68 MJ with a 75 MJ and replaced it with a 90MJ to match up with the Uni mod . I can hear the air being sucked it much more louder than with the air box . I did notice more pep on take off and midrange and it was the same on top end . Well I bought the proper Uni , my dealer nor did any of the many scooter and motorcycle shops in town have any jets in my size larger than a . Being impatient I put it on anyways . I forgot to oil the filter . It idled fine and barely had a bog when I gave it throttle but nothing close like it wanted to stall . I went down the street and $#^*#** it seized on me . It was 96 degrees outside too . I came home and pulled the plug and it melted the prong to the electrode . With over 30 years of small engines and automotive wrenching I had never saw a plug melt together . I would buy a jet kit BEFORE installing the Uni to avoid my mistake I made by being impatient . Plan on testing a few sizes out in order to dial it in . A Uni can allow more air intake but with a stock head on a 4T and stock exhaust it may bottle neck . Is this for a 2T or 4T engine ? This is under the 2T section and I only know of OKO carbs for 4Ts . Make sure to oil that filter instead of running it dry like I did !!!

I have went to premixing since I have a massive leak in the tank or a busted hose . It is covered up in so much oil I will have to degrease it when it stops raining . I did unhook the oil line to the carb and cap it off . I have another oil pump and spinning the gear drive I noticed it does have some drag instead of free spinning , and perhaps more so when it is hooked up and the lines are full of oil . So I feel safe to think that once I remove the stator to get to the oil pump and remove it I might free up a pony or at least a fraction of one .
I would like to hear from anyone who has removed their oil pump on a 2T Minarelli engine and if it did in fact have a lil power gain .

Drain out the gas in the tank . My 2T when it was new ran like a champ . Well one night I bought some gas from a shady place and the next morning it would not start up . It always starts up instantly . I first checked the sparkplug wire and then for fire since I knew I had a full tank of gas as well as good compression . I called my dealer before going too far as it was under warranty . They told me about a scooter with the same no start issue after it had been running good . He said they drained the tank and carb bowl and it had water in the gas . Refilled with ethanol free gas and tada it was good again . I bought a siphon pump from Harbor Freight and did the same thing to mine . I was thrilled it started right up like the other scoot did . I try to only get gas from trusted sources but sometimes I have no choice sine the tank is so small I fill it up for 2.50 of premium . I have had it happen two more times but I only drained the carb bowl and it fired right up .
So I would try draining out the gas and refilling with good gas and see what happens .

It may be much faster than a small scoot but no match for a Maxi class scooter . I would love to take the Aprillia 850cc V twin for a ride .

After seeing a few on here and two in town with a 2T pipe on a 4T engine a buddy wants to test to see if my pipe will work on his scoot after he gets a jet kit

I replaced my 12.2g rollers at 5.5k miles they had just started to develop flat spots in places . I replaced them with 12g Dr Pulley sliders . It had a better power curve and i gained 5 MPH on the top end . At 12k miles I replaced the belt with a Bando brand instead of CFMoto since it was cheaper and my CFMoto dealer said it was the same thing . I also replaced the guides as they were worn a lil bit on the variator .
