Thanks for the response sailracer, when you put a petcock on, did you take the fuel pump off? rockync, the only reason I put gas in there is because my y connection are the type that seal good, I'd have to cut them off to put gas in intake line. plus my gas tank is below my carb.

I know I was getting spark when putting gas in yesterday, in the passed year and half I've replced CDI, Ignition Coil, spark plug, and cap, all fuel line, all vacuum lines, fuel filter. had trouble with 3 way electrical plug, replace those. Replace my intake menfold, cleaned and oiled air filter. About the only thing I didn't replace was fuel pump and the vapor hose from gas tank to the vapor canister.

Help me understand what is going on with this scooter Yesterday going to work and just climbing up hill at WOT my scoot choked and shut off took diaphragm cap off carb put gas in and scoot would start until the gas i just put in ran out (useally this works and I'm on my way again) this time it didn't work, tried several times, so left set over night at my buddies house and pick scoot up this morning. Got her home and my buddies said to mr try to start and see what happenes (Yep fire right up like nothing was wrong at all) I'm confuse My buddy suggested maybe vacuum or vapor lock I don't know what to think, anyone have any ideas?

Not yet scootnwinn, I can't get my scoot until tomorrow morning, Yes I'll check that out (thanks) The way I'm looking at this, there are three possibilities 1. something in gas tank blocking fuel 2. fuel pump shoot , or 3. clogged fuel filer because if you put a little gas in carb diaphragm it will start and run until it uses up that little bit of gas then shut off and you can crank, crank and crank. No start

Hi spandi, as soon as I get scoot home I want to check the fuel line from gas tank first and then fuel filter. The scoots been doing this for some time now, it seems to have trouble at WOT, normally I can open diaphragm and give it a shoot carb cleaner, (today gave her some gas) and then she will start and keep running, but this time no go

Coming to work today, climbing a hill at wot and my scoot shut off My buddy came over to help, as long as you put some gas in carb (diapragm) it will run until the gas is used up and then were back to cranking again and no start I think this time it is the fuel pump Attachments:

Sunday was a special day, taking our daughter out to dinner at Chili's restaurant (Johnstown) for her graduation, the family took the car, I took my scoot ;D I took 271 from vintondale and I'm now downtown Johnstown when all of a sudden the scooter is running, but I have no throttle first thing I'm thinking (broken throttle cable) got looking and thank God just the bolts came loose at carb and came off the bracket, I'm trying to tighten it and found I didn't have the wrench I need then this guy pulls up on a 50cc scooter and was asking my some questions and by chance it had the wrench I needed and not only that he gave me the wrench in case I had more trouble I had a trouble time getting to the restaurant which was about 5 more miles and dinner I worked on her and was able to make it home to fix it right. I'm glad God sent me some help Attachments:

DX It is a good idea to clean and re-grease clutch and variator (check those roller weights) ;D I have the MC-54-250B 15,000+ and still going strong (of course with much maintenance)
