I dabbled in a little nite work when I first got to Cali ,,, was running a blown 396 in a duce ,,heavily breathed on jag rear,,,good fun,,,not so much for the competitor ,,,then I switched to built small block chevs in 914 Porsches ,,,,,nothing could touch them on mulholland or any of the canyons for that matter,,,got the itch to build another,,,also eyeing a unmolested sunbeam tiger,,,buy in on that one is big dough tho,,,

I like the idea of a Chinese scoot and just acquired my first one by default when I leased a new studio,,little over 1000 miles,,, new battery and it turned over,,,, so we'll see how this goes,,, as far as Sym, kymco, genuine parts is an issue,,,, one of the reasons I didn't go Sym/ kymco,,, parts availability ,,, thank goodness they don't need them often cause it's a major drag gettin them

One humungal reason I switched to dual sports,,,very controllable for the real world,,,I've been in tight squeezes with my recent build that would have landed me in the hospital or worse ,,,true peekaboo squirrel moments,,,,blasted out the other side unscathed,,,, amazing,,,,glad your ok ,,it's those moments that really ring the reality bell,,,,makes me pause and think about slowing down a bit,,,,got rid of all my exotics ,,, I'm mr generic now,,,,

turn the ignition on and pull the negative terminal for the battery while leaving the key "on",,,,,wait 15 seconds then replace the terminal,,,that should clear the code

oh as a side note crack the two allen head pad pin bolts before you remove the caliper,,,it will make it a whole lot easier to get the pads out,,then just hand tighten them and torque them to spec when the caliper is back on it's perch

there are bolts in there some where,,probably under the rubber plugs,,,as far as taking off the wheel to access the pads,,,aint going to happen as the caliper is inside of the rim lip ,,so the caliper has to come off before the wheel can be removed,,,and the floating piston "abs" is the biggest piece o kaka to come down the pipe since the last duce i just did,,,nothing but a waste of space and weight,,,,and just another part to go wrong later,,when the seals go out and the fluid gets past them and gets behind where the spring is ,,,,
