Really wish people read instead of skimming. Thanks but as I said I have flywheel pullers but the flywheel was stripped by previous owner. Gonna try a claw puller tool. . What are you saying?,,,, I think the claw and the steering wheel puller are both handy,,, I have several in different sizes

If to have threaded inserts in your flywheel by all means use the bolt style puller tvnacdude suggests,,, the 3 jaw puller will work fine if you have the room to get the claws behind the " bell" of the flywheel just be easy with it so you don't distort or bend the flywheel,,, I don't know what your dough situation is like but both the bolt and claw type are so inexpensive I'd get both,,, they are very handy to have

a larger three claw puller that pulls from the rim and a central pin that pushes on the crank tip,,,but restoring the threads is the real chore here,,you may be able to recut the threads and go down a half size on the nut,,just a thought

You need spark fuel and it all has to happen on time,,, you got everything but it's not firing on time,,, flywheel key sheer?,,,, Itx gotta be out of time,, or the Cdi is wonky and it's just firing indiscriminately which I doubt highly,,, flywheel is moving around,,,, I'll put a twenty spot on that,,, major edit,,, toss the cam chain?

Pulled the rear tire 3400 miles and change and switched it with the spare,,, still in pretty good shape so it's a real decent spare and a freshy on the rear,,, lite sand and painted rear hub face,,, battery strap broke and a little acid came out of the drain and splashed on the hub face,,, redid the battery strap with a Velcro strap with eyes to go over the original strap hooks,,, worked like a charm,,, I did notice the rubber on the Stella is real live crap with a Capitol C ,,, hopefully I can find some viton based replacements so I can put this psycho circus to bed once and for all,,, gotta love a scooter that carries a spare tire with rim,,,,

When I'm on my dr in town it's dr in front,,, stop lite action is limited to the competition,,, the occasional Enzo or turbo porshe,,, or saleen is all that can be a challenge ,,,,on the Stella not so much,,,not for long anyways ,,, it goes under the knife soon so my biggest worry is keeping clutches in the thing,,,, as far as what the scooterista has to put up with,,, last Saturday going down the main drag in town and a solid cross street left hand turn right in front of me,,,both tires howling,, with me chiming in as well,,, way too close for my comfort at least and a shrug and that's what brakes are for look from the offender,,, I decided to carry on instead of going to jail for yet another assault charge ,,, this getting old crap is really getting on my nerves

one of the things ommitted in the wiki writeup is the fact that the valve is under constant control so more aggressive cam profiles can be used,,,so there's no "float",,my last desmoquatro build after start had to warm up to operating temp before use so everything could grow,,,so things didn't run into each other,,,,it was tighter than a frogs in there,,,i like the idea of the cylinder and head being used together but most of the early small duc engines were bevel drive not belt (those are pantah based designs) drive valve train,,,no to play devils advocate but have you investigated pnumatic valve acuation?,,,there hasn't been a cam in F1 auto in almost 20 years,,,,just sayin

Extremely late to the party,,, fabricating a Desmo system based head is crazy expensive,,,have you looked into modding an existing Ducati head to fit?,,, they made several small bore racers ,,,or do a casting based around existing Desmo systems ,,the inertia mass of these small bore ducs easily offsets the energy required to compress springs,,,just the heat loss from the spring surge is worth it ,,, but developing a Desmo head is easily in the tens of thousands of dollars,,, and that's a two valver,,coming up with a desmoquatro or better yet a desmosedici based head,,,you better have very deep pockets,,,I played with Ducati engines for over two decades and just keeping existing production engines tiptop and running was a chore in itself,,,not trying to shy you away from developing a Desmo engine for the gy6,,, I think it would be awesome,,,,

The high priced spread has their share of problems ,,,i had an et4 vespa i couldn't wait to get rid of,,,,,and the parts counter!!!!!! holy the prices,,,,they wanted $14 for a quart of oil,,,,$50 for a fuel tap,,,,i got her running great finally and sold her off,,,,the buyer and i were very happy,,,parts availability is one reason i did not go taiwanese,,,i feel that the bikes coming out of taiwan are superior ,,,members on this and a few other forums can attest to the fact that a 150cc taiwan bike easily tops out at better than 70mph ,,,but cost double the price of a chinese scoot,or more ,if you don't have or can't swing that kind of buy in,,,chinese scoots are a very viable alternative and are much nicer both esthetically and mechanically than even just a few seasons ago,,,i'm even having a bit of a time getting parts for my 4t stella,,,the dealer here is as dumb as a stump and doesn't even know what i'm talking about half of the time when i go in to get something,,,
