howdy and welcome to the forum
I don't have a lot of knowledge but am responding just to let you know the post did get read.
I am thinking it is possible that it is a fuel pump problem which seems common on some of these scoots. you might check the vacuum lines from and to the carb. also check whether the air filter has a nest of some kind in it.

howdy and thanks for the demo. I had a new tire put on and they were unable to balance them so they were bad. then I had another shop balance them and they still are not right. maybe the dynabeads will finish the job.

howdy and yup to the above it would , however, at least give you an opportunity to rest that arm and hand on longs stretches of road. I have ridden this last scooter on some longer trips and liked to take the left arm and rest it for a minute or so and it would be nice to do the same with the right one.

howdy and welcome to the forum, if you were looking for someone with a little knowledge, I have as little as anyone!
personally, with this type of thing from new, I would start with the simple things like making sure the plug wire is on properly. then check the fuse holder and connections to it. then , the connections to and from the cdi---etc. did you buy it from a dealer that did a post delivery inspection?. it sounds much like a fuel delivery problem , but could be electrical or perhaps valve adjustment though I would hope not. anyway--

howdy again, maybe you could go to our section of for sale stuff and put an ad in that you need those parts and someone may respond that they have them. even with shipping maybe they would be cheaper than ordering from somewhere.

howdy, just thinking out loud here, but I wonder if one could cover those with a valve cap to stop the leaking , then remove the cap to see the indicator and replace the cap. some of the better valve caps have a gasket to prevent leakage.

howdy, I think chromedome was saying that the wires were chewed so close to the instruments , that a splice was impossible. maybe a parts scooter and just replace everything in the area that was invaded? as to how to keep the mice out, I don't know whether you could plug the openings with rags or sponges with cayenne pepper or something on them to discourage the little buzzards , but it certainly was a nasty surprise this year.
