howdy, I wish ya the best. but-----think if that had happened on the way TO work. you would have been late------ that is why most folks don't ride this type machine to work every day. i'm sure i'll hear the disgust from someone when I say that for the most part these are just not reliable enough to bet your job on. again, all the best

howdy, just a caution. some scoots will lock and not accept all the fluid until burped. with the motor running and warm squeeze the radiator hose and see if you burp air out the fill pipe. that may need to be done or the scoot will not cool properly. maybe someone can come back with the technical on that.

howdy, I can't do it now but when I was young, mom made a hamburger stew that was so spicy, it used to raise steam off my cheeks and steam up my glasses.

howdy, nice to ride after working on a scoot. you probably have a bit of grit under the needle that the float shuts off. so probably you want to take the carb off and clean the grit out of it.

howdy, yup , I agree with above but first i'd suspect the belt is slipping which is why your speed diminished so much with the slight amount of weight.

howdy, yup, it seems the majority of scooters read 10 or 20% high. maybe you can make a mark at 50 mph from gps and just go from that. or at 35 , whatever is the most important speed for you.

howdy, welcome to the forum. if you're looking for someone with a little knowledge---I have as little as anyone. do you have the service manual for the yammer? I , personally use full synthetic oil and will extend the oil change to twice recommended interval. especially if you are mostly freeway and not short stop and go in town stuff. my piaggio says 10,000 km between oil changes but I doubt the yammer goes that far. I plan to stay with the 10,000 on mine since I think that is plenty far.
tire balance can go away after some miles. my front has 10,600 miles on it and is showing some wear patterns which throws a little head shake into it at certain speeds. it's entirely an individual choice how much out of balance you will tolerate. I typically don't tolerate ANY but that's just me. I ride 300 miles plus some days and don't want the shaking which prematurely wears other components.
brakes, I use the one easiest to replace which is the front. I also use the front to equalize the wear front to back. i'm talking normal planned stops not brake test stops.
the battery tender. in summer weather riding as far as you do, I wouldn't do it though I doubt it will damage the battery. winter is a different story. or if your sound system draws heavily, or you have added lots of extra lights. again judgment call.
plug, I have heard that the iridium plug will not last as long as the standard plug. check it and make----a judgment call
lights. that's interesting because I think you can buy those that use the same power, mine 55 watts, but shine more brightly and don't last as long. like, 25% better light and 25% shorter life for example. mine has two 55 watt bulbs so I don't plan to replace till one goes out. one did last week but the other got me home. again-----judgment call.

howdy here's another opinion(that's all I have). the after market exhaust system can offer less back pressure which when properly rejetted and if the air intake can flow more air, will result in improved performance at heavy throttle. another advantage of most of them is reduced weight which is important on a scooter because the muffler weight is unsprung weight which carries a ride quality penalty. in other words the scooter will ride significantly better with a lighter muffler and accelerate faster etc. however, do some research to gather other peoples' opinions on that specific product.
