I didn't know you could legally have lights like that. Cool.

I was riding around and saw a small shop in town. Stopped in to check it out and see what parts they have on hand-- nothing too crazy, basically only the spark plugs and my size belt would fit my scoot. No roller weights.
The brand of belt they had was Erlander or Erlandson? I can't remember off the top of my head. Anyone heard of that brand? They want $25 for it.

Also, I have yet to take off a belt on my scoot with BOTH pulleys still on. My clutch sits in the case too far for me to do it---- unlike the pic above.

My clutch pulley opens easier when I grab the pulley half with my fingers and have my palms on the front of the clutch. Then I simultaneously turn the pulley half to the right with my fingers--all while pulling. I'm not sure I've ever tried opening the pulley just by pulling towards me.
I understand the situation, but thought I'd throw that out there.

<------strange how the only way that smiley appears on this forum now is using "Quick Reply".... EDIT: I take that back, the one I clicked using "quick reply" looks like the old one that "laughs so hard it cries" but shows up differently.

I bought a pair of Michelin City grip tires. I love em There is no comparison to the factory chinese ones. Best policy is to NEVER skimp on tires and brakes. They are the MOST important part! Thanks for the replies everyone. It's funny how you guys brought up brakes(and safety), I was planning on bleeding my front brakes this weekend. Never done it before(neglected), but it looks really easy the way the guy does it in the video that alleyoop posted not too long ago. I was going to get the Kendas again, but I really want to try the S1 tires out. They're only $10 or so more each, but I agree with all of you--- you really should NOT skimp out on stuff like that. I can't wait to see how they perform compared to the Cheng Shin and Kenda, to be honest. That Cheng Shin, front tire, isn't even close to being bald--- I'm over 37,000 on my odometer--- obviously kilometers. It's cracking a bit though, so might as well get them both done. Get the tires out of the way, bleed the brakes, and I'll be getting a new faceshield for my helmet---it's all scratched up.

I guess most of my concern is for the driveface and clutch pulleys where the belt rides. It doesn't take long for them to start getting rusty when laying around. It's not MAJOR rust but still. Even saw some rust on a camshaft around the bearing area-- again, not much.
Also, I saw some rust in the housing where both bearings of the crankshaft fit into the engine case.

I know some parts rust over time, and all my spare parts are kept in my garage all year long. What are some good ways to store them? Spray them with WD40? Buy those little "do not eat" packets and put them and the parts into a container??
Any suggestions are appreciated.

^ I was running a 120 main jet and didn't know it. That carb came with the engine. Not sure how the scooter even ran, or how i didn't even smell gas really. Learned my lesson there-- i had that carb on for over approx 7-8,000 miles, not sure. Thats the engine I haven't pulled the head off yet, because I knew the crank was shot-- I should pull it off tonight and post a pic, I'm bored.

Some of these pics of rich/lean spark plugs can't be from a simple plug chop with a brand new plug. They need a chart for that specifically, IMO.

I'm not having the best of luck either finding a single STOCK shock-- even from the vendor banner. Quite SHOCKING if you ask me. Scrappy has that gas shock, but I've never heard a review about it.
