I'm almost positive I over tightened it and damaged the screws. On my old bike I did this to the cvt cover screws and they acted the same way before they broke and got stuck in the case. I just don't wanna find myself hating life because I spent all the time rebuilding only to have the screws break in the new cylinder and I have to replace it. I suck at screw removal or creating new threads in holes.

I can tell mine are about to break and ruin a future rebuild because the last wo time I tightened them they would get tight then loose with minimal force. Do you know where I can find the two bolts that secure it on?

Also, the piston was black around the area between the wrist pin and the rings, and one of the ring seperators between the two top rings literally broke off the piston. Thankfully it did no scar up the cylinder so all should be well with a new piston kit. One last thing, what is the proper spark plug gap? The manual I have says .6 but thats 6x bigger than your average gapper goes, so obviously is wrong. Its a crap chinese manual and they must run chinese metrics or something..lol...I would assume manybe .06 but I would like to know what other people have gapped theirs to since obviously these manuals I paid for are crap for the most part. The black is blow by from the piston and rings dying. Thats evidence of the compression leaking into the crank case and blowing out your oil. I would get a new cylinder even though you can't see it i'm sure theirs damage and you will have problems with your rings sealing . I think I set my gap at .035. The normal range I think is from .030 to .040

Its leaking from the clutch side.I know its negatively effecting my clutch. I'm guessing oil seals? With that being said i'm still clueless as to how they go bad and how to replace them or where to get the parts. The engine is a 1p39qmb
This all started after I replaced the rings awhile ago. 2 days ago I found myself with no oil and noticed the valve vent was sucking in air instead of blowing it out. I figured it was pinched somewhere. Fixed that but, I think the pressure associated with it finished off the seals. I'm talking a noticeable leak when riding and it stops shortly after the engine is stopped.
Out of all this troubling part will be cleaning the cvt. I know the whole insides are trashed. My clutch is slipping bad and I know its overheating. So its all the dirt and grim it had+ belt shavings and oil that were heated and allowed to bake into a hard to scrub off paste.I just might buy a new clutch and put on my spare variator to avoid having to clean those. I can tell when it gets hot because it starts to slip (dropping mph and raising rpm) then it starts to seize up and the engine is rpm goes down as it struggles to pull the engine. Its like riding with a stuck brake. And when I get to a light (Lot of traffic here) they cool down and ride normal again for a little while.

Sorry, I was half sleep posting that. lol Everyone else pretty much posted what you needed. If your looking for the cheapest quick fix, I would just get the $10 rings That would be best if you plan on rebuilding again with new parts in the near future. If you upgrade to the 50mm your going to have to also change your variator weights, carb jet, camshaft, final gears. Otherwise, you'll go slower, but with great accel. Also, what caused the rings to go bad should be your next question. Bad luck or bad setup? I would get an # carb jet with the new ring replacement and adjust accordingly. Also if your just slapping in new rings with no new cylinder the "Break-in" period is essential and will determine your oil consumption/blow-by. I'm inpatient and always skip the break in period and ride hard. (Full throttle % of engine run time) Never had problems except for having to occasionally top off oil(Never excessive use) and overtime the engine became slightly less responsive. And started requiring longer warm up periods or else it would lag around until the engine fully warmed up (I'm talkin at least 1 mile before its at normal performance, even after waiting a little at idle. I replaced my rings on my bbk a couple weeks ago and their getting worn out faster than when the cylinder was new.

I'm almost positive your rings are dead....Oil problems--->decreased performance----->Exhaust smoke-----> No start...... If your going in, miles well replace with upgraded parts Around $50-60$ for bigger better parts (You have to take off the old anyway right?) Or spend $10 bucks for some rings, do the SAME amount of work as you would installing a bbk but no performance gain. Also, chances are if you ran close to out of oil, or had to use old oil, over heated, ect, the cylinder is more than likely damaged slightly and the new rings won't seal properly and burn a little oil. No noticeable performance loss, just keeping WEEKLY tabs on oil or sooner if you ride alot. Oil blows out of the breather tube when worn piston ring/cylinder let compression into the crankcase, thus building up extreme amounts of pressure. Where does the pressure go? Breather tube. If there were no crankcase ventilation you would have herd and or seen something blow while riding along with all of your oil. A normal functioning gy6 will vent out "vapors" of oil along with air. If a lot of oil come out its because its being pushed out. I ride hard and abused my engine so I get a "mist" Indicating mild blow-by. When I rebuild it'll will go back to a vapor. Your problem could also be your head gasket, but that's a Slim to nothing chance. I've herd plenty of stories about blown rings. 0 about a blown gy6 Head gasket Its not as scary as it seems Just study this guide and keep it at hand if you choose to repair yourself. ebay.globaldc.com/scooterparts/borekits/100ccGY6/install/bbk.htmlYou don't have to remove the whole engine like it shows. (I've done two bikes fine with it in) But you will have to take off a lot of the body. Welcome to the forum! A year ago I started off in your shoes too.

Your running to rich and somehow flooded the engine. Black plug = Too much gas. Did you ever find out why that happen?

Mine broke so, I got parts from my other bike, and when the springs and stuff came off when they failed I never got a good look at how they were assembled.
