I went through several spark plug caps. Most had the the hard plastic break after a few months, one broke the clip, last one just kept falling off. Permanent fix that has held up for over a year was to take an 8mm car plug wire , cut to length, whittle down diameter at cut end so it'll fit in the coil. get a screw on tip for the plug, screw it on plug. I mashed it slightly so there'de be no chance of unscrewing off the plug . Reinstall the grommet that seals the plug hole in the shroud after trimming it to fit over the plug boot on the wire.
