Too lazy to bother googling them. So let's see, the Akron looks longer and it's actually in the air. Plus fly' couldn't view it.

The Akron is more macho. It went out with a boom following a lightening strike.
I used to work at the Tustin Air Base in California.
The hangars were over 1000 feet long.
Being in one of those hangars was a real trip during an earthquake.

I believe the airship/dirigible should make a comeback...although they are a tad slow...  Hope about a more personal-sized bag o' helium, that could carry 6 people or so?   Cruise up and down the beaches...  |
