This last weekend I decided that it would be a good idea to take the general advice to live each day as if it were your last. So, I checked into the local hospice where they hooked me up to an oxygen tank and gave me an IV with a morphine drip. It was refreshing.

I believe in "Living in the Present Moment" for a while. I think those sportbike guys live every day as if it is their last.

Living each day as if it were your last mean many things to many people. To the Epicurean's it meant an over the top party attitude while for me it means being the best person you can be each and every day leaving those in your care provided for if today were to be your last and the book was closed on what type of person you were.

Yes, there are many ways to live your last day on earth. -I would like to think that I wouldn't sit in a hot tub the whole day with a good bottle of Bourbon. -I may fly back to Georgia to visit relatives and old friends. -I could fly to Ireland and spend my final minutes in a great pub (as many of my ancestors probably did). -I fear that I would totally indulge myself on that last day. Nothing illegal or unethical, just indulgence.
