we actually bought out the west coast distributor inventory of Zhen/Lance and have alot of parts for this, including body. They do not fit generic parts, and are much better than anything else. We got caught up with regular business and didn't get the parts online, but if you call Osa at 702-689-6035 and email order@scrappydogscooters.com with pictures and model number, she'll hook you up. Rick javarod Cool, most of the parts i was planning on getting from you any way since you had them covered, only the seat, body and headlight were an issue.

His error will be your new ride Indeed, though him laying it down will make some extra work for me. Still, should come out even at worst, and likely ahead. The one issue i see is that this thing is oily, in the transmission and out, need to figure out how to clean that, and prolly should change the belt and the weights while i'm in there, the hills around here are not friendly to my scoot, i doubt this one'll be different.

Ok, picture post time. Boy its oily in here Shouldn't these connect? Is this where the oil's coming from, or is it from the main seal like my roomie thinks (can't hurt to change it on an 08 with an unknown maintenance history)? Spotted this at the bottom front of the engine, one of two loose connectors in the engine compartment, but this one looks more important So, a little forward progress, mostly in diagnosing the size of the job in front of me. As mentioned, there's another loose connector, a small three pin connector fitted with only to pins. It doesn't look important, but i can grab a picture if anyone thinks it might be. There's no charcoal canister on this motor, though you can see the capped off fresh air intake for it. Engine looks to be in good shape, or at least as good as you'd expect for an area that gets an awful lot of rain, nothing that looks wrong, and the oil mess is limited to the left side. Kick starter will definitely need work, as well as that bushing piece, there's a large diameter washer between the spring and the kick starter gear that's just floating around, so clearly i need to do some work, or replace the whole kick starter. While we're in there we're definitely replacing the weights and the belt, but what about the glide keys, clutch and clutch spring? Anyone perhaps an ex-Fly dealer that might have a shop manual laying around, or know some of the specs? Also looking for key blanks if anyone has some.

Looks like you may have an oil seal leaking. Check the seals behind the variator and clutch.

Ok, picture post time. Shouldn't these connect? No. The little gear will jump out onto the other gear, engage the other gear, when you crank the engine.

Points, "Room mate thinks main seal on the engine output shaft which should be an easy change when i pull the variator. I figure i'll change it as a matter of course since this is a nearly 8 year old scoot. That said, i'm wondering if some or all of it is coming from that hose fitting i shot on top the engine since its neither capped nor hooked up." Ok, picture post time. Shouldn't these connect? No. The little gear will jump out onto the other gear, engage the other gear, when you crank the engine. Ah, Ok. There is some wear on the front... bushing? should i worry about that?
