Hello my name is brandon. I am new to this scooter forum.i have a good amount of knowledge on small engines. However i do need help. I have a mz moskito fb50 its a 2002. I just bought it for 50 bucks from my father in law. It runs good after i cleaned the carb and tuned it. I was wondering do these scooters have oil in the transmission or are they just belt driven. Ontop of the tansmission it says 300ml3. What does this mean. Thanks in advance for the help.

Has a CVT which uses a belt and uses GL5 or 80w90 gear lube in the final drive gears 300ml worth of it

Yes the transmission has gears that have to be lubricated. The gears are behind where your clutch shaft goes into. They usually take about 8ozs of gear oil. Alleyoop

Ok is there a way to check if there is oil other than the drain. The plug is stripped. Thanks for the quick replies.

If the DIPSTICK she found is on the MUFFLER side that is where you fill your crankcase oil for the motor. There are no dipsticks for the tranny gear oil you have a fill hole and a drain and a vent tube. If it is leaking by the drain plug you will have to get a Helli arc drill it and stick the Helli arc in and then screw the bolt back on. You CANNOT crank on ANY of the bolts on the motor it is ALUMINUM and if you tighten to much it will strip the threads inside the casing. JUST NICE and tight. Alleyoop

Its on the back side of the transmission close to the tire on the left side of the bike.

Good ,then just get lock pliers or pliers and unscrew it and go to the hardware store and get a new bolt. Alleyoop

Thats right 2ts do not use crankcase oil, but you said your girlfreind found a dipstick and I said if it is on the MUFFLER side it would be where you fill your crankcase. But since it is a 2T then there is no crankcase oil. You do however have a tank up high near the fuel tank or right next to it that you fill with oil and that might be where your girfriend saw the dipstick.
That has hose going to your carb and oil drips into your carb to lubricate the motor as it mixes with the gas. Alleyoop

Ill put a pic up soon. I know about the oil injextion. Thinking about usimg some johnson evinrude 2 stroke oil. My father uses it in alot of things and it works good. The stuff thats in it now is cheap. Im trying to find an air filter that i can use without haveing to jet the carb. It has none.

No air Filter is not good, it will suck in a lot of dirt and tear up the reed valve and cake up you plug and piston. That is probably why it is not running good to much air not enough fuel. Alleyoop
