Thanks for sharing!
I know EXACTLY how you feel... Over the last 55 years, I've had everything from a tiny 100mph mini-bike, to English twins, Harley choppers and Harley baggers... Along with assorted Japanese bikes, and lately, one Chinese 150 and now a Taiwanese 250 scooter. I enjoyed them all, each having its own personality.
If I had to pick just ONE however, purely for OVERALL enjoyment, I guess it would have to be the venerable Honda 305 Super Hawk I bought new for $650 back in 1968 while in the Army at Fort Bragg. As opposite from a fire-breathing chopper as it gets, the little Hawk did EVERYTHING well. Around town it was as nimble as a 150cc scooter, and on the road, two-up it would cruise 75mph in comfort.
It seemed cheap (although $650 THEN would be $6,500 TODAY...). It was TOTALLY reliable, and indestructible. It wasn't beautiful, but not ugly either... Just "pleasant" and always did its job well. It's the ONLY bike I ever had which I could find NO complaint about. Now THAT is saying something...
There's always one bike, car, truck etc. that stands out in one's memory as special.
Enjoy 'em all!
