Found this on Kickstarter. The smartphone in your pocket will automatically open your garage door when you pull into your driveway.

Hm. I thought it would send a signal from outside the garage, so you can just ride up to the door, sit a moment while your device signals the opener, and then drive in. No more fumbling for the remote.
But instead sounds like it initiates from inside the garage, with the "listens for the sound of your car's ignition" etc.
Na ja....

The "listen for ignition" feature is only to open the garage door when you're already at home. If you watch the video, it clearly opens the door when you pull into the driveway having come from "away".
