Hi there! I just joined up and wanted to introduce myself and my ride.

I'm riding a BMS Federal 50 that I picked up from a private deal on craigslist. I've been riding it for nearly 100mi so far.

So, I'm new to the scooter scene, and it looks like this is the kind of place I can find some help and answers about the thing. Glad to be here!

Hi and welcome to the forum. You're right about this being a place to get answers to repair and maintenance issues with your scoot! Now that spring is here (and the weather in Maryland warming up) it's a great chance to see just how much fun a scoot really can be.
