Just curious if anyone else here rides with a Gremlin Bell. For some reason it's always been a tradition in my family that if someone gets a new motorcycle, then we get them a Gremlin Bell. This time when I got a new scooter, my in-laws wanted to get me a bell; I just got it tonight. I'm not superstitious, but you can never be too careful right?

Yes I have Gremlin bells on all of my two wheeled vehicles. I run both the silver and the brass bells, as they repel different gremlins. They work even better if a loved one gives them to you too.

I've got one that my friend at powersports gave me when he learned nobody had given me a bell. It's fastened to the lock-bolt thingy on the bottom of the frame. Of course, since then I went down in the roundabout, for no apparent reason. Hm.... Still, it's nice to hear that little ding-ding when I pull into my driveway and into my garage. >'Kat

That's okay, 'racer, I'm naive enough I don't get whatever other meaning it might have.
dom', would've been couple years ago now. That's when I parked him for the year and a half, 'cause I was still actively under workman's comp care. Once the doc released me from his care to an at-need status, that's when I decided it'd be okay to ride again. And then of course we had hinky weather instead.
Gremlin bell didn't prevent that going down. Neither did slow speed. But I was ATGATT'ed so I was fine. Chewed up the piggy a bit more though, sigh.... Maybe bells don't work on roundabout gremlins?

Gremlins cause equipment failures. Gremlin bells cause gremlins to drop off your scooter, to stop equipment failures. Trolls eat gremlins. Gremlins do not merely drop off the scooter -- they die. 2013: . . . 2005:

If you read the legend I posted up there, it works better if it is a gift, still works if you buy it, just not as well.

I thought the bells were supposed to be hung low to collect the gremlins before they could get onto your bike. And they stay stuck in the bell and the ringing drives them nuts and when you stop they drop back onto the road too dazed to try anything more.
Or something like that.
