Bobshaw, I sure hate hearing that. But the reality of it is worth bearing for those of us out there in suburbia especially. My event and hearing about others' does make me pause and reconsider sometimes where and when I want to ride my two wheeled vehicles.

That's remarkable beyond description. Art at its best.

I've done a few repairs. I successfully used the mesh sheetrock tape, several layers, with either two-part epoxy or (I think) black CPVC cement. There are lots of threads out on the web to follow.
If you have a creeping crack, that's the only time I'd consider drilling necessary, but then you have the hole to deal with.
With my current scooter, there was a plastic crack in the body work when I received it, so I used the epoxy/mesh method, and added a bit more, spread wider, to reinforce that stress point.

That would really chafe me pretty bad. Make sure to report it to the police. It could pop up somewhere quickly. and it could be getting tickets parked somewhere it shouldn't be (happened in San Francisco to a poor lady recently).

I'm going to flank the other way and say break it down to harness and components. Test the components first and make sure they aren't fried/out of spec. Then start looking at that harness, or just replace the darn thing. It's not that complex a machine. Anything that looks hanky deserves a closer look. Test wire connectors to see if they are grounding out when they should not.
Once you've done an accounting for everything something should pop out (maybe more than one thing).

If it's not running right, your price would likely be significantly discounted. Maybe half the normal rate of what they sell for in your area.

I bought a Koso from John as well. I had to take a mini-file to the red alignment pieces and smooth where they contact the metal so it slides effortlessly. I'd happily buy another one. And John has done me right - great support.

No prob! You've got a fun project in the works. And this will give you the chance to to a full PDI to make sure everything is up to par.
I think you'll find that there is "the" wiring harness. They are all made in China and likely from one or a couple of similar vendors. That said, a new harness should be fine, nothing substandard. But... you really need to do your best to find out what was happening. The issue may not have been your harness, but your harness could have taken the brunt. This is where my knowledge softens however.
You can do a site or web search for testing the components: stator, stator pickup, voltage regulator, rectifier, coil, cdi. And just generally do a very close inspection of all wires going around your bike. I'd test all components first before placing an order so you can knock it out at once. And buy a new belt.
This site has sponsors (see up top). Roketa parts should be easy to source.

OK finished. I'm not the best electronics guru, but I'll say don't try to do that anymore. Someone here will pipe in on something to help you start testing all the electrical components, then test the wire harness. In the meantime you don't want to damage any components.
Each of these scoots goes by different names from different vendors. Your model will have readily available parts. A wiring harness may be in your future along with any failing or burnt up components. It's not the end of the world.

Welcome Jarrett! You've come to the right place. I was just thinking while looking at your sticker removal that you might be able to get the goo off safely with some mineral spirits or some acetone. Test a spot first. Pardon me while I go back and read all that

You need to tie a guard cat up to your scoot at night. Or an owl. Or an eagle. Or something. I'm going to have nightmares about opening my seat storage.

I went by ScooterlandUS in San Jose to see my poor broken bike and talk to the owner. Going to get rolling on the fixes and get that bad boy rolling again.
I'm having Mike put on a stainless exhaust since the old one is scratched up now.
I also we surfed for LED options to light up the back end of the bike. New bling for my ride.

I think as a kid growing up in Houston suburbs, I got accustomed to seeing the odd snake around. These days I don't think about it, but yeesh......
