That's why I'm hesitating on adding extra electrical equipment. The technical info for my wideband O2 kit I installed a couple weeks ago states a 3 amp-12v draw is necessary or the gauge will display an error. So far I have not had an issue with starting.

But I have already decided to install an LED voltmeter to monitor the battery. I'm hoping it will fit in the factory instrument cluster.

Hey jersey, I never turn the fuel valve off unless Im removing a fuel line for some reason . the carb float Shuts the flow off when the bowl is full " of course " . I guess it will be ok unless the float valve goes bad ,lol. However I've had it like this for 3 yrs or so with no problems.
One thing I wonder about an electric pump is once the bowl closes u still have the pump working in opposition to the float valve trying to close. Will this eventually burn the pump out ?
Honestly there is no reason for any type of pump on a gravity system , all it dose is take up amps. Just throw on some bigger fuel line ",not really a necessity ", but I like having a bigger volume of fuel all the way to the bowl.

An O2 sensor sounds nice. It sounds like you have plenty of battery for the job.
