Hi guys..! I recently acquired a Suzuki SF50 that is in great shape considering it's age. The only real problem with it was that it didn't idle when stopped. Simply revving the engine at stops kept it going, but I wasn't too fond of doing that. Yesterday I dumped a bottle of fuel injector cleaner into the tank and went for a long ride. The idle issue immediately went away. She purrs like a kitten at stops. Unfortunately, i traded the idle issue for a bogging issue. If I apply more than 1/8 of the throttle, the engine craps out. I'm thinking that it is probably due to all the alcohol in the fuel additive I used. I am going to drain the tank and refill it with fresh gas, but figured I would ask some seasoned riders what they thought. I want to stress that the bike ran fine and I have done nothing to it but add a whole bottle (dumb, i know now) of fuel treatment to a 1 gal tank. Thanks in advance for any insight you may have..! -Nate

I agree with you, you added to much and it did a good job of cleaning the tiny holes and passages but all that additive deleted the gas. So drain it out and put some straight gas in it. I use Seafoam to keep the carb nice and clean of varnish and build up but ONLY 1 OZ per gallon. Alleyoop
