Has anyone run across a Gy6150 engine that did not have a fill screw for the gear oil? It does not look like there is one on mine. I have posted several times on here and no one ever answers. So until I can get this scoot road ready and iron out these kinks I will never get to "scoot around".  |

Some times the fill screw is under the cvt cover. A picture of your drive side on the rear wheel would be amazingly helpful...

On the Roketa MC-05-127 engine it is not in your standard chinese engine's place.
Look around. Even lawn mowers have them

Ok, if this is for the pst150-11 Trike, Here is the fill plug, BUT you will have to take the SPROCKET off to get at it(HAHA). Don't feel bad I have an ICE BEAR TRIKE as you can see in the picture so I know every inch of them. BUT I HAVE A SECRET WAY OF FILLING the tranny gear oil. Use the Tranny Vent hose to fill it. Get yourself a oil can and put in 8ozs of oil and stick the oil tip from the oil can in the vent hose and pump away.  ;D Actually you can fill any scoots tranny that way as long as you know how many ozs it takes you do not have to bother taking the CVT cover off IF the fill plug happens to be behind it. Alleyoop PUT IN 6OZ it also has to oil the reverse gears which are on the other half of the case. There is a 1/4 inch hole in the case so that the oil also travels into the other half of the case.  |

alleyoop: Wouldn't that possibly introduce debris in the tranny? It is after all a vent hose...

alleyoop: Wouldn't that possibly introduce debris in the tranny? It is after all a vent hose... Less chance on introducing debris by using the vent hose to fill the tranny than you would get with driving the the scooter down the road, after all it is an open hose. Jim |

The crankcase has positive pressure therefore the hose will be clean with no outside material in it.
